ONE ROOM CHALLENGE: WEEK 3 (FURNITURE ARRIVED & A LITTLE DIY PROJECT)

October 16, 2019 Lindsey Hanson

We are at the halfway point folks! So far so good over here, this makeover is smooth sailing at this point (knock on wood). I was really nervous that one of our dressers would show up damaged this week and we’d be back at square one. But all is good! One piece of hardware was broken but I was planning on replacing the hardware on that dresser anyways so, no biggie.

I also took full advantage of the gorgeous weather this week and did a quick little refresh on some old wall lights. We had these lights in our bedroom years ago and had tucked them in a corner in the basement and forgot all about them. When I showed my husband the new lamps I was wanting he quickly reminded me that we had very similar lights in our storage room.

I picked up a can of gold spray paint and got to work! They turned out so great and I can’t wait to install them on the green walls. They’re like the perfect pair of gold earrings that tie the whole outfit together!

Love this spray paint!

Artwork arrived last week and I took it to get framed this week at Hobby Lobby. I opted for a modern gold frame that would really let the art be the star. I can’t wait to get it hung on the wall above the bed, it’s like the cherry on top. So, I know there are no BIG reveals this week but I promise you guys…it’s coming! The space has come so far and I can’t wait to show you all. Next week I will be sharing our DIY slider door, FINALLY I’ll be able to close the door to the bathroom. Hallelujah!!

Don’t forget to go check out what all my friends are up to over on the One Room Challenge Blog page.
