We are at the halfway point folks! So far so good over here, this makeover is smooth sailing at this point (knock on wood). I was really nervous that one of our dressers would show up damaged this week and we’d be back at square one. But all is good! One piece of hardware was broken but I was planning on replacing the hardware on that dresser anyways so, no biggie.Read More
One week down, we are cruising right along over here at Casa de Hanson. We tackled painting the walls over the weekend and we are LOVIN the color. I went back and forth between Thunderous by Sherwin Williams and Pewter Green by Sherwin Williams but in the end, Thunderous won! I liked that it was a deeper hue because of the gray tones in it and it actually ended up going greener in our space. I think the Pewter Green would have been too vibrant for me.Read More
Well it’s finally feeling like fall around here so I thinks it’s time to share this years fall home tour with you all. Well now that the weather is finally starting to reflect the fall season, I’m craving all the comforts that come along with it. Bring on the sweaters, pumpkin spiced lattes, and all the soups! Chicken noodle soup is one of my favorite things my mom use to make for us growing up. So I decided one day to make it with my own spin. I like the bit of heat this soup has from the addition of the creole seasoning. It’s especially good for when you have a cold and need your sinuses to be opened up.
The best part about this soup is that it can be made about 30 minutes, and taste like it’s been simmering for hours. We can thank the great people that created Better than Bouillon Chicken base for that, this stuff is magic in a jar. It completely elevates the flavor of the soup. This recipe is such a crowd pleaser and a fall and winter staple in our home. I hope you enjoy!
Nothing beats a good leather chair, am I right?! Leather adds a richness to a space and if properly cared for it just gets better with age. We searched for months for the right chairs for our front sitting room before finding these handsome fellas! I wanted something modern but timeless and these chairs checked all the boxes. I love the brass detail and the leather was soft and broken in like we’ve had them for years.Read More
