I feel like we've gotten an early taste of fall here in Kansas City this year. The weather has been amazing, we are enjoying being able to eat outside every evening and I love a crisp fall morning. I've ordered my first obligatory Pumpkin Spice Latte, baked a peach pie, and fall decor is sprinkled through out our home (and of course football). So all in all I'd say, "It's Fall y'all"! :) Today I'm sharing our Fall Tablescape with you, I absolutely love styling a table! Mostly because I love food but I also love to entertain. There is something about gathering around a table and sharing stories, laughing till it hurts, and usually over eating. :) We always wake up the next day saying, we need to do that more often.

I've been dreaming up this laundry room makeover for months now and we finally got around to it! We didn't want to spend a lot of money on this makeover so I knew we would have to get creative on ways to get the look I wanted for less. Not only was I wanting to brighten up this room and make it feel larger, I also needed it to function better for our family. Here is a quick look at the before pictures of our laundry room.

Happy Labor Day weekend my friends! I've been super busy this past week trying to get all my "projects" finished up so we could just spend time relaxing and playing with the kiddos. This fireplace refresh was a quick, easy project that had such a huge payoff. You see this tile surrounding our fireplace has been staring at me and mocking me since the day we moved in. Every time I would walk by it I would cringe. But it just wasn't on on the top of our priorities so I just "lived" with it. Finally I'd had enough, I woke up and decided I was gonna slap some paint on it. I mean what's the worst that could happen? We planned on replacing it at some point anyways so if this was a project fail no harm done. Right?!

If you're wanting to give your kitchen a facelift, and don't have a lot of money to throw into a kitchen remodel, then look no further. My husband and I are self taught DIY'ers mostly because we are cheap and don't want to pay someone to do it, but we also love creating things with our own two hands. We are on our 5th home in 7 years, and we have renovated parts of all seven homes.

If there was one style I'd love to have more of in my own home it would have to be eclectic boho. There is just something about how welcoming it feels. It's fuss free and so cozy. The furniture pieces generally have clean lines and lean more towards modern. The addition of warm wood tones throughout the room mixed in with pops of green give a real organic feel to the space. You can bring all sorts of color into the space through your textiles. We went with a more neutral palate for this project, but she could easily swap out some bright pillows or patterned curtains to give the room a completely different look.
