This whole journey started about 9 years ago for me.  My husbands job had moved us to a new city where for the first time I was away from all my closet friends and family.  I was unemployed and trying to figure out what I wanted to do when I grew up.  I started painting pieces of furniture in our house instead of buying new to save money since I wasn’t working.  It didn’t take long to realize that I really enjoyed my newfound hobby.

Fast forward a few years and I was to the point where I needed to find a space to sell my furniture before I was on the next episode of Hoarders. ;)  I rented a space in Kansas City’s popular West Bottoms area where I sold my revived furniture and home decor .  I meet so many incredible people during my time there and it’s really what kick started my career.

My passion for staging and styling grew from that point on, I was so inspired by all the talented men and women I was working alongside.  I honed my style and began taking on personal clients and quickly realized this is what I need to be doing.  I love working with clients one on one and helping them transform their houses into homes.  Creating a space where families want be together and enjoy eachothers company is what I strive to do.  I know that decorating on a budget can be tricky, but I’m here to tell you it can be done! When I’m not decorating and power shopping for my clients I am chasing my little ones around.  I’m the blessed mama to 2 sweet babes, Everett is 7 and Olive is 4.  I’m constantly trying to find balance between work and raising my kids.  They’re my biggest fans and they sure do love to “help” mama decorate and paint.  ;)  I love to share fun DIY tutorials, and design inspiration here on my blog to get you excited about transforming your own home.  I hope you enjoy your time here and feel empowered by what you learn.  Thanks so much for taking the time to visit my little corner of the internet.
